A new small business has been formed in Palm Beach County with its sights set on bringing original and exciting family experiences to South Florida. The new company is titled Pegasus Entertainment LLC, and will focus on special events, festivals, and retail happenings.
The company’s chief executives include former manager of the West Palm Beach Auditorium and Stadium complex, R.E.”Randy” Carrillo, whose Morgan Renee Live concert company is the parent organization. Randy has produced numerous concerts and events in the area and across the country over the years with such artists as Taylor Swift, Rascal Flats, Kenny Chesney, Maroon 5, Celine Dion and many others. Randy has also served locally on the boards of Sunfest, Artigras, Turtlefest, and more. In his 35 years in the concert and event business, he has handled over 45 million dollars in gross revenues in his career.
Also joining the group is Russ Morley, a well known radio voice and executive in South Florida whose is best known locally for launching and directing 97.9 FM WRMF as well as a top rated personality on that station for many years. Russ is also former co-owner of Vogue Travel and Business Design Solutions. Russ has overseen or created festivals and consumer events in Palm Beach County, Orlando, the Dallas area, and Memphis. Russ has been named Chief Operating Officer for Pegasus and will concentrate on event creation and operations.
Nanette Lawrenson has joined Pegasus as Sponsorship Director. Nanette is a familiar face in area social circles as well as business groups in Palm Beach County. She has over 20 years of experience in the high end retail management industry, was a VP for Tiffany & Co. where she opened and managed two stores, and most recently served as Executive Director and Development Director for the Loggerhead Marinelife Center in Juno Beach which welcomes more than 200,000 visitors per year. Nanette also managed the centers’ 6 million dollar development campaign prior to that.
Pegasus Entertainment’s first project is the “Almost Free Fair”, a deep discount shopping event set for the South Florida Expo Center on March 11, 12, and 13 (www.almostfreefair.com) , and two culturally themed events; “Viva South Florida”, A Latin-American Festival in Downtown Delray Beach in September of 2011, and “Oktoberfest Americana”, at Jupiter’s Abacoa set for early October.
